Mrs. Ailinger's and Mrs. Magee's Class Celebrate the "Magic of Color"
Mrs. Ailinger's and Mrs. Magee's class celebrated Fall by learning about the "magic of colors." Children placed different colored scarves into a bag and reproduced a multi-colored scarf. They learned about the three primary colors, which are used to make all of the other colors. It was fun to mix red, yellow, and blue to show how secondary colors were made. They decorated the corridor with colorful rainbows. In conjunction with math, the children graphed their favorite colors. The color green was the most popular. Then they made a graphic organizer to show things which were green. Each child completed a writing lesson about his/her favorite color. They are learning to spell each color to the tune of "BINGO." They looked at all of the beautiful leaves, when they went outside to play. God certainly gave us a colorful world to live in!
